Challenge
Most fitness apps split workouts and nutrition. Di Lorenzo needed one experience with personalized calorie targets, trainer-authored workouts, and a recipe catalog — updatable without constant app-store releases.
Solution
A modular monolith Node.js API serving React Native (Expo) mobile plus React and Angular web clients, with MongoDB Atlas, Stripe, and Expo EAS for reliable iOS/Android releases and OTA updates.

High-level topology
One Express API with domain modules (users, workouts, recipes, payments, blog). React Native, React admin, and Angular dashboards authenticate with JWT against the same REST contracts.
