A useful brief explains the responsibilities, the codebase and how work is reviewed. That may be a particular feature, an integration, a period of implementation support or a technical handover.
We agree the scope of authority as well as the tasks. Product decisions, access approvals, deployment responsibilities and acceptance criteria should have clear owners.
Before implementation, I need to understand the repository, environments, conventions and current priorities. Documentation and a working development setup make onboarding more effective.
We discuss how changes are proposed, reviewed and tested, and how progress is communicated. The aim is a contribution the team can maintain, not a parallel process that becomes difficult to hand over.
